We are Radical Readers

Our Approach

We aim to take a decolonized approach to education, we believe that this is what makes us revolutionary. In all of our lessons, we seek to counteract the western perspective in the way we teach our students about core subjects. All too often, many aspects of our history are taught with the wrong connotation. Through our lessons we hope to put humanity back into our narratives and eliminate the vestiges the western perspective has left on us.

What is our goal?

Through the Radical Readers Children's Literacy Program and Curricula for Political Education, we envision a future where every child has the ability to critically engage with the world, empathize with others, and advocate for positive change. By fostering a love for reading, nurturing critical thinking skills, and introducing political concepts, we strive to empower children to become active participants in shaping a more just and inclusive society.

All about Radical Readers

The Radical Readers Children’s Literacy Program and Curricula for Political Education is a free community based organization. Through our initiatives we hope to remain true to our core values of Literacy Development, Black Education, Self Realization & Empowerment, Diasporic Learning, and Community.
